Launching ADVANCED ATHLETE PROGRAM by Coach Jim Massaro

I must apologize for the long time that it has been since I updated this website. There have been a ton of new developments in the past few months, the biggest being that I sold my personal training business in N.Y. and relocated to Southern California. So here I am starting all over again. Since being here I have been working on some new projects, trying to bring Kettlebell and Clubbell training to the beach. As I write this, classes are forming. I am now training and working at THE YARD, in Hermosa Beach. If you are in the area, stop by and say "hello."

One thing that I am extremely excited about is launching my ADVANCED ATHLETE PROGRAM. Over the years it has sickened me to watch young athletes go to the gym and get bad advice on how to train for their sport. In today's world of training, there are too many so-called experts armed with a personal trainer's certification but minimal experience telling you they can get you ready to play. Athletic training is like no other fitness training. The athlete must be prepared for whatever takes place on the field. He or she must step on to the field with the confidence that they are totally prepared for all the twists and turns that lie ahead of them.

My programs are 20-year TIME-TESTED PROGRAMS that have developed professional, college, and Olympian athletes and World power-lifting and strongman champions. These programs have developed high school state championship teams.

I will take the guesswork out of your training with a month-to-month plan that will encompass all of your training demands, so that when you step onto the field, you will play with the confidence of knowing that you are totally prepared and no other athlete on the field is more prepared than you. I will coach you every step of your training through phone conversations and e-mails. All programs are sport-specific and athlete-specific. Your plan will be designed to address your needs through a phone consultation.

Areas covered in training:
GPP (GENERAL PHYSICAL PREPARATION) and EXPLOSIVE STRENGTH, SPEED and AGILITY.
All programs are based on your experience and conditioning. There isn't a one-size-fits-all program. PRE-SEASON, IN-SEASON, and POST- SEASON are all accounted for in your training plan.
